EngageSpace
"Make every gathering unforgettable"
A live audience engagement platform for polls, Q&A, quizzes, and surveys, all in one session. Built for hosts who need their room to feel alive, not silent while everyone stares at slides.

The problem
Anyone who has run a meeting, class, or event knows the moment. You ask, "any questions?" and get silence. Not because people don't have questions, but because raising a hand in front of forty people feels risky, and by the time they've worked up the nerve, the moment has passed.
The tools that exist to fix this, like Slido and Mentimeter, solve it, but they solve it as separate products. Want live polling and crowd sourced Q&A and a quiz to close things out? That's three different accounts, three different codes for your audience to remember, and three different tabs for you to manage while also trying to run your actual session.
Why it needed solving
The friction is not just for the host. Every extra login screen, every moment of wondering whether the code was ABC123 or 123ABC, every app download prompt is a participant who gives up before they've said anything. Engagement tools should remove friction, not add another piece of software to the pile.
I wanted one tool where a host could open a session, mix Q&A and polls and quizzes on the fly, and never lose the thread, and where participants could join in under ten seconds with nothing but a browser.
What makes this different
One session, every activity. A host isn't locked into a single format. They can open with a poll, pivot to Q&A when someone raises a great point, and close with a quiz, all inside the same session, same join code, same audience. The dashboard shell, meaning the controls, activity switcher, and live stats, stays exactly where it is. Only the content in the middle changes.
Real time by default. Every vote, upvote, and question lands on screen the moment it's submitted. No refresh, no polling delay. Hosts get to watch their room react live instead of narrating stale numbers.
A screen built for projecting, not just managing. Most tools give you one view and make you awkwardly angle a laptop toward the room. EngageSpace has a dedicated presentation screen, the JumboTron, designed to be cast to a projector or second monitor. It automatically shows whatever the host features, meaning the join code and QR when nothing is live yet, then an instant switch to the featured poll result or Q&A question the second the host taps Feature. The host controls everything from their laptop, and the room only ever sees the big, clean version.
Four question types that actually cover how people give feedback. Multiple choice for quick decisions, word clouds for open ended vibes, rating scales for how a session went, and ranking for prioritization. Each renders its own live visualization, including bars filling in, words growing with frequency, star averages, and ranked lists, so results feel like a payoff, not a spreadsheet.
Zero friction to join. No app, no account. Type a six character code or scan a QR code, and you're in. That's the whole participant onboarding flow.
Moderation when you need it, invisible when you don't. Hosts can require every question to be approved before it's visible, or leave it fully open, and they can flip that setting mid session if a room turns out rowdier, or quieter, than expected.
How it works
1. Create a session. Name it, set a passcode if you want one, decide whether responses are anonymous, decide whether you're moderating. Ten seconds.
2. Share the code. Text it, say it out loud, or throw it on a slide. Participants go to one URL, type the code, and they're done.
3. Launch activities live. Fire off a poll, open Q&A, and mix them freely, mid session.
4. Watch it light up. Results populate in real time. Export everything as a CSV when you're done.
What's next
Quiz and Survey activities are the next two tools going into the same shell. That means timed rounds with a live leaderboard for quizzes, and structured multi question forms for surveys. Both will slot into the existing activity rail exactly like Poll did, so a host will be able to run all four inside one session without ever thinking about it as switching tools.
Built with: React, real time state sync, single session multi activity architecture.
